Hailed as the ultimate club band, Stapylton Street knows how to entertain. Unafraid to push the boundaries with a diverse range of instruments, their high-energy performances blend musicianship, creativity, and positive vibes. Stapylton Street will transport you with honest and robust storytelling. Formed in a garage in Logan, the dry, self-deprecating wit of the lead singer is entertaining between original music. The band has its roots in folk, pop-rock, reggae, and country rock. You can expect a cohesive mix of rhythm, bass and lead guitar, melodica, keyboard, drums and percussion, and trumpet (for the occasional Latin big band feel). With an upbeat tempo and catchy lyrics, the music from this ever-evolving group is overwhelmingly positive. It’s a captivating performance you will love dancing to. Noise Pollution have described their vocals as “satin smooth”, and their sounds as “mesmerising”, “intoxicating in their reach and range” and “genius in their skill and style”. Available for gigs in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, they are current regulars at The Bearded lady (West End), and Rics Bar + Backyard and Wooly Mammoth Mane Stage (Fortitude Valley). The band have been invited back for festival performances at Nimbin Roots and Jimna Rocks.
